General Ledger

The General Ledger (often referred to at VUMC as M&D) is a core financial application and the source of the institution’s main accounting records. The general ledger provides the complete record of financial transactions over the life of the organization. The ledger holds account and cost center information that is needed to prepare financial statements, and includes accounts for assets, liabilities, equity, revenues and expenses. Primarily used in Central Finance Offices and Internal Audit.

General Ledger information is primarily accessed and viewed using eDog , DMS and/or Business Objects General Ledger Universe Reports.
