Mission Statement

The mission of Payment Cards is to provide a timely, cost-effective and convenient solution of procuring and paying for business related expenses.

What we do

We offer an institutional payment card designed to give controlled buying power directly to the Departments/Divisions for business-related purchases eliminating many purchase orders, check enclosed orders, check requests and for vendors that are not available through Vanderbilt’s preferred purchasing method eProcurement. Issuance of a payment card is a privilege and must comply with the payment card policy. Spending limits and merchant code restrictions are set on each for internal controls.

The available payment card types are:

  • Individual and Department Purchasing Card
  • Travel and Entertainment Card
  • Fleet Card
